Our 12th annual Tumbleweeds Film Festival for Kids returned April 21-23, 2023 to the Viridian Event Center in West Jordan and online with streaming options.
The 2023 Tumbleweeds Film Festival opened a window to “Our Magical World” with cutting-edge animation, shorts, and feature-length films. This two-day festival opened with an award ceremony for the Tumbleweeds Kid’s Film Competition. It included interactive and enriching workshops taught by professionals in the film industry and free hands-on activities, crafts, and experiences for the whole family!
The film line-up featured 20 films that brought stories set in space, on land, and in other worlds that peek at the imagination and adventurous minds of viewers of all ages. We journeyed into the filmmaking process with activities and workshops featuring the Harmon Bros, Override Films, and more.

Good Night Oppy
Good Night Oppy tells the inspirational true story of Opportunity, a rover that was sent to Mars for a 90-day mission but ended up surviving for 15 years. The film follows Opportunity’s groundbreaking journey on Mars and the remarkable bond forged between a robot and her humans millions of miles away.
