Festival Clubhouse

We’ve lined up some out-of-this-world fun for the Clubhouse activities this year. Clubhouse activities are included with the Tumbleweeds Festival Day Pass for Saturday and for Sunday. Passes are on sale now!

Recommended for Ages: 8+

Can you write, film, and edit a comedy film all in just minutes?! With our help you can! Join the Utah Education Network in the Clubhouse to film your own 5-second comedy!

Recommended for Ages: 4+

Button Making – Button Making–Come make your own custom button with Clever Octopus! They will offer art kit giveaways along with information about Clever Octopus, volunteer opportunities and Americorps.

Recommended for Ages: All ages

Live Caricature Artists will sketch you a caricature while you wait in the Clubhouse of our Tumbleweeds Film Festival!

Recommended for Ages: 5+

Join Utah Film Center staff to create your own super hero! At our table you can design your own mask and cape in your favorite color. Let your super powers soar and wear it throughout the rest of the festival!

Recommended for Ages: 6+

Who doesn’t love stickers?!? Let Craft Lake City show you how to make your own stickers with common household items. This hands-on, fun for many ages activity, will give you inspiration to create!

Recommended for Ages: All ages

Photographer Miriam Teriipaia will host a photo booth where families and friends can pick funny costumes to dress up and take a photo.

Recommended for Ages: 5+

Create your own galaxy in the universe and pose as an astronaut exploring your galaxy!

Recommended for Ages: Age 6+

Health Games–Join U of U Health as they lead you on fun brain games to keep your mind sharp and your body healthy!

Recommended for Ages: 5+

Clark Planetarium has a hands-on experience to learn of the properties of light and how it has been used for centuries to capture photographs, voies, and discover our universe and beyond!

Recommended for Ages: 2+

Utah Museum of Contemporary Arts has a coloring booth with “Space to Create” thank you cards to give to the special person in your life that gives you the space to be creative and artistic.

Recommended for Ages: 4+

Bad Dog Arts will help kids do a fun art project that helps them think about their unique gifts (superpowers) and create a memorable work of art.

Whether you love to watch films, want to explore the hands on activities at the Clubhouse, or do both, a day pass is your access to the Festival!

Each day pass includes the following perks: In-person films on a first come, first served basis

  • Clubhouse activities.
  • Free UTA transit to the Festival at Mid-Valley Performing Arts Center in Taylorsville
 

Each member of your group needs a pass to access Tumbleweeds. Workshops require additional registration and fee. 

Choose a Saturday day pass, a Sunday day pass, or both! 

Free screening of Flee at Liberty Park, SLC at 8 pm on July 17.
