HOW TO WATCH FILMS & PARTICIPATE IN FESTIVAL ACTIVITIES
The 2025 Tumbleweeds Film Festival will offer Saturday in-person film screenings for free at the Viridian Event Center in West Jordan, as well as workshops and clubhouse activities.
NEW FOR 2025
For 2025, we are again offering free individual tickets to films, thanks to a partnership with Salt Lake County Library. Tickets can be reserved starting in early February when the film lineup is released.
ATTENDING A SCREENING OR CLUBHOUSE ACTIVITIES AT THE VIRIDIAN CENTER
The Viridian Event Center in West Jordan is in the center of the Salt Lake Valley; this is our third year hosting the festival at this location. To attend an in-person screening, visitors can reserve individual tickets to screenings starting in early February. Individual tickets will be available to reserve on site, but it’s recommended that tickets be reserved in advance of the festival.
LOCAL RESTAURANTS AND BUSINESS
Please check out our list of local restaurants where you can grab a bite to eat before or after your film screening or workshop. Also check out a few local kid-focused businesses who provide fun activities similar to the Clubhouse and workshop activities.
INDIVIDUAL TICKET PRICING – FREE FOR 2025
Individual screening tickets are again free for 2025 thanks to a partnership with Salt Lake County Library.
FOREIGN LANGUAGE FILMS WITH SUBTITLES
To enhance our young viewers’ appreciation of foreign-language movies, most films are screened in their original language with English subtitles. Individual headsets will be available with subtitle readers reading the subtitles aloud to increase each child’s comprehension.
PARTICIPATING IN WORKSHOPS AT THE VIRIDIAN EVENT CENTER
Workshops will be announced in early 2025 and must be purchased individually. Clubhouse activities are free and open to the public.
ONLINE FESTIVAL
For 2025, we will not be hosting an online film festival.
