Get ready for your field trip to the 2026 Tumbleweeds Film Festival for Kids! Festival Field Trips happen April 22-24, 2026 at the Viridian Event Center in West Jordan. This year’s festival includes films that feature a variety of animation styles and live action filmmaking from around the world and our very own Utah community.
Tumbleweeds Festival Field Trips are designed to activate students’ passions by introducing young audiences to the power of filmmaking, creative thinking, storytelling, and media education. These field trips aren’t just about watching movies, they also provide uniquely engaging career exploration opportunities! Every field trip includes a film screening, an interactive post-film Q&A session with local filmmakers, and a corresponding Educator’s Guide to help extend the festival experience into your classroom.
Tumbleweeds Festival Field Trips are offered to Utah’s schools for FREE thanks to support from the Utah State Board of Education and other generous community sponsors. We can even provide transportation funding, in the form of a reimbursement, to cover the cost of your bus!
